Comparison · Claude

The sovereign Claude alternative.
Swiss data residency, model-independent.

Anthropic’s Claude excels at reasoning and agentic development. AIgent brings the same agentic work into a sovereign environment: hosted in Switzerland or on-premise, model-independent, and designed for Swiss regulation.

Overview

How do AIgent and Claude differ?

Claude is an outstanding model with strong agentic development through Claude Code. It runs on US-controlled infrastructure, and Claude Enterprise is licensed per seat.

AIgent is not a model but a platform decision: you orchestrate agents through a sovereign platform, choose the model per data class, and keep data in Switzerland or in-house. Because AIgent is model-independent, you can use Claude models within it where they fit.

The difference

Sovereignty is the real difference.

The models are similarly capable across providers. The difference is who can legally reach your data and where it is processed.

AIgent keeps your data in Switzerland or on-premise, stays model-independent, and logs every processing step in the audit trail.

A fair look

When Claude is the better choice.

If your focus is development and agentic coding workflows, you want to use Anthropic’s frontier models directly, and US-cloud operation is acceptable for your data, Claude is an excellent choice. For pure model quality in development tasks, Claude is strong.

Verdict

Verdict.

AIgent and Claude are not mutually exclusive. When sovereignty matters, you orchestrate your agents through AIgent, keep data in Switzerland or on-premise, and connect Claude models where they fit. You gain model quality and data control instead of an either-or.

Questions & answers

Common questions: AIgent vs. Claude.

Can I use Claude models in AIgent?
Yes. AIgent is model-independent and can connect Claude models for agents where an international model is acceptable. You decide per agent which data reaches the model, so especially sensitive content stays in Switzerland or in-house.
Is AIgent an alternative to the model or the platform?
To the platform. AIgent does not replace a single model, but the way you run agents: sovereignly hosted, model-independent, with tested skills and an audit trail. You freely choose the underlying model, including Claude.
What about agentic skills?
AIgent runs skills as tested, vetted code from a centrally governed catalog, reproducible and auditable. The catalog is compatible with the skill format of Claude Code and Codex, so existing skills can be reused.
