Comparison · Langdock

The sovereign Langdock alternative.
Swiss-hosted, with real agents.

Langdock is a strong AI chat platform with broad model access. AIgent goes two steps further: hosted in Swiss data centers instead of Microsoft Azure, and a real agent platform instead of a chat interface.

Overview

How do AIgent and Langdock differ?

Both platforms are model-independent and give teams access to multiple language models through one interface. The difference lies in hosting and depth: Langdock hosts in the EU on Microsoft Azure, AIgent in Swiss data centers or fully on-premise.

The second difference is agent depth. Langdock is at its core a chat platform with agent building blocks. AIgent is built from the ground up as an agent platform: an isolated sandbox, code execution via tested skills, memory, and a visible plan-tool-result loop.

The difference

Sovereignty is the real difference.

The models are similarly capable across providers. The difference is who can legally reach your data and where it is processed.

AIgent keeps your data in Switzerland or on-premise, stays model-independent, and logs every processing step in the audit trail.

A fair look

When Langdock is the better choice.

If you want a mature AI chat platform for many users, value broad model access with a polished interface, and EU hosting on Azure is sufficient for your data, Langdock is a good choice. For a fast, chat-centric team rollout the platform is strongly positioned.

Verdict

Verdict.

AIgent is the more sovereign choice as soon as Swiss data residency, on-premise up to air-gapped, real agents, or Swiss regulation matter. Where Langdock covers the chat layer, AIgent finishes tasks via tested skills and keeps data in your jurisdiction.

Questions & answers

Common questions: AIgent vs. Langdock.

Why does the hosting location matter?
Because the US CLOUD Act applies at the provider’s seat, not the data center location. Langdock hosts on Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft as a US company is subject to the Cloud Act even for data in an EU region. AIgent runs in Swiss data centers or on-premise, independent of US hyperscalers, so that point of access is removed.
Can AIgent use the same models as Langdock?
AIgent is model-independent and connects international models as well as sovereign or local ones. You choose per agent which model processes which data class, and additionally control the processing location. That goes beyond plain model selection.
Does AIgent offer on-premise without a seat minimum?
Yes. AIgent runs on-premise on your Kubernetes cluster, up to air-gapped, without being tied to a high minimum seat count. Licensing is per installation, not per seat.
